Frequently asked questions
Everything drivers ask us before their first call-out — answered the way we'd want it answered.
The full list
Do you really speak English, or is it a phrase-book situation?
Really. The dispatcher and the technician handle the whole job in English — symptoms, diagnosis, price, invoice. French and Dutch work too.
Can you take my car to a garage?
That’s not what we do — we’re a battery specialist, and the whole point is that the car drives away on its own wheels from where it stands. If your problem turns out to be beyond the battery, starter or alternator diagnosis, we say so honestly and point you to the right help (112 in an emergency).
How fast can you be with me?
Honest answer: it depends where you are. Each town page on this site shows the real local range for its technician — and the phone quote includes a live ETA. We never promise one figure for the whole country, because that would be fiction.
Do you serve the whole of France?
Most of it, through vetted local partner technicians plus our own Rhône and Var teams. We publish a dedicated page only for towns where we can describe the service honestly — for anywhere else, call and we tell you the real availability.
Is the quote binding?
Yes — the price agreed on the phone is the price on the invoice, unless you change the job (say, choosing a replacement after a boost). Any supplement (night, holiday) is announced upfront on that same call.
Can you come to an underground car park?
Yes. Our kit is portable precisely for level -2 situations. Note the level and bay number before you lose signal — and if you can, meet the technician at the entrance.
Do you work on motorhomes, vans and motorbikes?
Vans and light commercials: yes, fully. Motorhomes: the starter battery, yes; habitation batteries case-by-case — ask. Motorbikes: jump-starts yes, replacements depend on stock; say the model when you call.
What if you can’t fix it?
You pay for what was done (the agreed call-out and diagnosis) and get the measurements in writing so the next professional starts from facts. We don’t bill for services we didn’t deliver.
Will my insurance reimburse the call-out?
Maybe — policies differ and we won’t pretend to know yours. We give you the itemised invoice claims teams ask for; whether it pays is between you and your policy. Our guide on breakdown cover in France explains what to check.
