Car won't start in France? English-speaking help comes to you — jump-start or new battery, 24/7
Back from a trip and the car won't start at the airport car park? Left the lights on at the gîte? Tell us where the car is — an English-speaking technician comes to it, tests the battery, and boosts it or fits the right new one on the spot.
No GPS? The row/level of the car park, the pitch number or the nearest motorway exit works just as well — tell us on the phone.
- English spoken on the phone and at the car — no translation apps
- Jump-start, battery replacement (standard, Start-Stop, AGM, EFB) and diagnosis, at the car
- Itemised invoice you can submit to your breakdown or travel insurer (subject to your policy)
- Free quote before we set off — card payment at the car, 24/7
Where did your car give up?
At the airport car park
You land, walk to the long-stay, and the key does nothing — the classic. We come to the row and pillar you read us.
Hire car won't start
A rental that clicks instead of cranking, and a desk that doesn't answer at night. Here's how it works and who pays.
On the campsite pitch
Cool-box on the 12-volt socket, two quiet days, dead battery. The van comes to the pitch with the right battery in stock.
At the ski resort
A week at −10 °C under snow and the battery gives one weak turn. Cold-rated replacements, fitted where the car stands.
The battery fails where the car was parked — so that's where we work
A car battery almost never dies in motion. It dies at rest: at an airport long-stay while you were away, on a campsite pitch after two quiet days, on a frosty station car park during a ski week, in a hotel garage after a fortnight of short seaside hops. That is why a mobile battery service makes sense in a way a garage can't: the problem is exactly where your car is standing, and so is the fix.
One call does three things. First, a quick phone triage in plain English — what the car does when you turn the key tells us a lot. Second, a technician comes to the car with test gear and battery stock on board. Third, the honest outcome: a jump-start if the battery can be saved, a correctly-specified replacement (standard, Start-Stop, AGM or EFB, registered to the car where needed) if it can't, or a straight answer if the real fault is the starter or alternator — we don't fit parts the car doesn't need.
We work across France through vetted local partner technicians, alongside our own teams in the Rhône and on the Var coast. Whether your reach time is short or long depends on where you are — it's quoted honestly on the call, never promised as a slogan.
About insurance, plainly: we are not an insurer and we make no promise about reimbursement. We give you a detailed, itemised invoice you can claim from your breakdown or travel insurer — whether it pays depends on your policy. That's the honest version, and it's the only one we'll tell you.
Three services, one van
Jump-start. If the battery can be saved, a professional boost plus a charging-system check gets you moving — and you'll know whether it will happen again. How the call-out works →
Replacement. If it's finished, the correct battery is fitted from the van's stock — standard, Start-Stop, AGM or EFB — coded to the car, old unit recycled. What's included →
Diagnosis. Clicks, dim lights, a battery light that stayed on while driving? We measure battery, starter and alternator before naming the culprit. The honest test →

Frequently asked questions
Do you really speak English?
Yes — the person answering the phone and the technician at your car. You can describe the fault, understand the diagnosis and read your invoice without a translation app.
How fast can you reach me?
It depends where you are — and we refuse to pretend otherwise. Each town page shows the honest local range for its partner technician, and we confirm a realistic ETA on the phone before anyone sets off. No "30 minutes anywhere in France" nonsense.
Will you tell me if it’s not the battery?
Yes. The technician tests battery, starter and alternator before replacing anything. If the fault is elsewhere, you pay for an honest diagnosis — not for a battery you didn’t need.
Can my insurer or breakdown cover pay for this?
Possibly — it depends on your contract, and we won’t promise what we can’t control. What we guarantee: an agreed price before we set off and a fully itemised invoice you can submit to your breakdown or travel insurer.
My car is at an airport car park and I’m already home abroad. Can you still help?
Yes, this is a call we know well. With your authorisation and the parking details (level, row, plate) we can arrange the intervention for your return — or with a person you designate on site.
Do you replace Start-Stop (AGM/EFB) batteries?
Yes — the van carries standard, EFB and AGM stock, and the new battery is registered with the car’s management system where the model requires it, so Start-Stop keeps working.
